Losant has selected Charlotte IoT for a hands on night with their IoT platform! They are flying Technical Evangelist, Taron Foxworth, in from Cincinnati Ohio to present and facilitate anawesome IoT workshop!
In this workshop, we are going to learn how to make hardware come to life. You are going to create an internet button, an internet-controlled LED, and graph and trigger actions based on temperature sensor data. The Losant Workshop is a fun, hands-on, and interactive introduction to hardware.
In this session, you’ll take home and learn about:
• Microcontrollers (ESP8266)
• Building IoT Apps
• Graphing Sensor Data
• Reacting to Sensor Data
What do I need to know?
We cover the topics from scratch, and there are no prerequisites.
What do I bring?
The self-guided session provides all of the hardware, software, and instructions needed.
It would be very wise to set up your environment beforehand.
I’m already familiar with hardware, microcontroller, etc., will this be useful for me?
Yes! You’ll learn about a new tool ( Losant ), and get some free hardware while doing it. Also, other may need your expertise!
If you have any questions beforehand, feel free to reach out to Taron on Twitter.
Join us in the meeting and let’s build something awesome!
