Earlier this week, Charlotte-based technology consulting firm, Logical Advantage, announced the opening of their application period for their Future Path Technology Scholarship. The $3,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a Mecklenburg County high school senior who has been accepted to a North Carolina college or university to study computer science or a related technology degree.
In addition to further promoting technology-focused careers, the intent of the scholarship is to recognize a local student who has demonstrated a passion for technology outside the classroom. Participants are encouraged to provide examples of their extracurricular interests in technology, including individual research and learning, as well as the practical implementation of their findings.
For over a decade, Logical Advantage has demonstrated their ongoing support of the tech community through their involvement in various events, all geared to the overall progression of the industry. These events include their signature Lunch and Learn series, Carolina Code Camp, Charlotte Internet of Things Meetup and the aforementioned Blue Diamond Awards.
To apply, nominees are asked to send a résumé, transcript, proof of acceptance to a North Carolina college or university, reference letter, and portfolio, in addition to the completed application form. All applications must be received by 5p.m. on Wednesday, February 18th, 2015. To learn more about the scholarship and to download the application, click here.Go Back
